Notice at Collection

When you use the bill form we collect the following, and nothing else:

• Identifiers — your name, mobile number, email address, and service address.
• Property and usage details — the Green Button interval file you upload, and any answers you give about your home, existing solar, or electric vehicle.
• Consent evidence — the date and time you submitted, your IP address, your browser's user agent, the page you submitted from, and the exact permission language shown to you.

We use it to prepare your rate analysis, to contact you about it, and to keep a record that you asked us to. We keep lead records for [retention period]. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Your interval data

When you drop a Green Button file on the page, it is read in your browser. The chart and the numbers are produced on your own device, and nothing is transmitted at that step. The file is sent to us only when you complete the form and press send. If you never press send, we never receive it.

Interval data shows when electricity was used in your home, at fifteen-minute resolution. We use it to size a system against your actual evening load. We keep it for [retention period] and we do not sell or share it.

Who sees it

VP Energy staff working on your analysis, and, if you go forward, the installing provider. We use [email host] and [hosting provider] as service providers. We do not pass your information to unrelated third parties.

Texts and calls

If you ticked the permission box, you asked us to call and text the number you gave us. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or write to [email] and we will remove you. Stopping messages does not affect anything you have already agreed to buy.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, this page will change first, and a working opt-out link will appear here.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [privacy email] or call [phone]. We will not treat you differently for asking. We verify requests by [verification method].

Terms

The rate analysis we send is an estimate prepared from the bill and details you give us. It is not a contract, not a quote, and not tax advice. Figures shown on this site labelled as examples are illustrations of typical bills in a service area, not statements about your bill.

VP Energy is an independent Sunrun Certified Partner. Sunrun is the system owner and provider under any lease or power purchase agreement. VP Energy is not Sunrun and does not speak for Sunrun.
